Worthing Gin is a traditional distilled Sussex Dry Gin distilled in Worthing and is the latest in an exciting business journey created by Phil Duckett and his wife Alison. After a long hot day in Worthing during 2019. Phil was relaxing on Worthing Pier having a well-deserved drink whilst overlooking the Worthing Med. “it’s times like this that the mind wanders and sends you in all directions. It was one of those moments and some would say the crossroads that the gin story started!”

One year on since the launch in Sept 2019 and several thousand Worthing Gin bottles sold later and as you read this there are now two Worthing Gin flavours available. Their Classic and the very popular Orange Blush flavours.

A Third limited edition seasonal flavour which will only have one Limited edition small batch bottle run is been launched this October as well. Before you ask what the flavour will be Join their Worthing Gin newsletter at www.worthinggin.co.uk where all the latest offers, giveaways and news is announced first.

The Worthing Gin story all started earlier in 2019 when a lot of gin was drunk late into the nights experimenting with flavours and botanicals to achieve what they felt was the classic dry gin. Worthing Gin is a traditional distilled Sussex Dry Gin and is Hand crafted in small runs of around 200 bottles per batch locally. Made from alcohol, natural botanicals (Juniper berries, Coriander seeds, Angelica root, Sweet Orange Peel and Rosemary leaves) and Sussex Springwater with nothing else added. There are no added sugar, artificial additives or colourings. Each new Worthing Gin flavour will have its own distinct botanicals to complement the base flavours.

To make Worthing Gin’s unique taste, the botanicals are macerated in neutral grain spirit to extract their flavour and natural oils. The macerated botanicals are then distilled once via pot distillation to transfer maximum flavour to the distillate. This is then blended with South Downs spring water and rested for at least 3/4 weeks to mature. All of the Worthing Gin bottles are filled, labelled and sealed in wax by hand creating an artisan small batch feel.

Within the last year, the company has grown with an addition of a shop in the Guildbourne Centre as well as a Retro blue HY van called ‘Gin Genie’ which has been on the Worthing seafront throughout the summer selling G&T’s whilst relaxing on the beach enjoying the view of the Worthing Med. The sea-front season has now ended but they will be back next year.
Each Wednesday you will now also see the blue Worthing Gin van at the busy Worthing Town Centre Wednesday market in Montague Square.

The warehouse and shop are starting to fill up already with their early winter and Christmas stock. This includes various unusual stocking fillers and gifts for yourself, family and friends. Branded drink coasters, Ice buckets, Presentation miniature bottle sets as well as their full range of Worthing Gin bottles are just a few of their items on offer. The website has a mail-order section with also up to date product information. Pop by the market or shop and say hello and try a sample.
